Nicole Mayet SC

Nicole Mayet holds BA LLB and LLM degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand. She was admitted as an attorney in 1997 served as a public prosecutor before returning to practice with Webber Wentzel attorneys. She was called to the Bar in 2002 but elected to acquire skills in administrative, mining and finance law in the corporate realm before returning to practice at the Bar in 2011. In 2024, she was appointed as senior counsel. She has appeared in the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Appeal, in almost all the High Courts in the country, the Competition Tribunal, the Labour Courts, the Land Claims Court and the Special Investigating Tribunal. She has served as an Acting Judge in various divisions of the High Court. Her preferred areas of practice include administrative law, commercial and constitutional law, construction law and finance law.
